She fell through the seams of time and space, hurling past melting colors and swirling shapes. They whizzed past her, faster than light. There was a loud booming noise, like a gunshot, and the colors stopped flying just as quickly as they started. Her surroundings sharpened, but she was still falling. Something ripped at her bare skin-a branch-and Bree squeezed her eyes shut.
When would this stop?
Her eyes widened as the ground began to rush up at her. She hit hard, and then there was black.
