I clenched the red ball that looked like it was made of red lightning. It was raining in Canyon City and there was nowhere I could go where I could be safe. Adeline and Fewa both had enemies. And with both of them gone, there was no one that would protect me without telling someone else. I"d have a bounty on my head. My decision was made as the red ball shattered into pieces on the floor like glass. A portal opened and I stepped through it. Taking one last look back at my home, I stepped fully into the portal, taking on a new destiny.
