This is a short play I wrote for fun. Let me know what you think! Imagine getting stuck in an elevator with your worst nightmare. Do you get out as a better person or do you stay stuck?

To Fit In

Let’s start by saying that I’m not the finest out of the bunch. I’m that rotten egg out of the perfect batch. I’m the odd one out. To fit in. To belong. To be compatible, similar or consistent. That isn’t what I am. I am the wrong puzzle piece that doesn't go in the right place. I'm a riddle. My story is not the happiest and I can’t guarantee a happy ending, but it’s safe to say that it’s not the worst. I mean, some people have it worse than me. Right? *** Meet Steph. Her life turns upside down, inside out and definitely changes. Throw in catastrophes, social issues and acceptance and you get a girl who's trying to fit in. The question is, is the change for the better or worse? *** Copyright © 2013 Nya Ahmed
