Kaitlyn grabbed his arm suddenly, and Jonathan followed his gaze to see the Alpha's son, Ethan. He rolled his eyes, but said nothing about it. "Who do you think his mate is?" Kaitlyn asked, watching Ethan curiously. "Don't know, don't care," Jonathan mumbled. He tried not to look- tried and failed. Stop it, he told his fluttering heart. You're over him. Alas, no matter how much he prayed his heart would stop beating so fast, it continued to do so. "It's not gonna be me," Kaitlyn said in certainty, then snuck a glance at Jonathan, who still had yet to look away from Ethan. "Maybe it'll be you."
