As the moonlight hits her body, it crystalizes and bounces of her skin. I haven't seen anything more beautiful.
I look at her and I can't breathe.
I have drawn many things in my life..
But I find myself wanting to draw her body. But I don't think I could do it justice.
She tosses and raises her arms to stretch her body, and for a moment I can tell she forgets where she is. A sharp pain edges its way into my heart.
I could never forget her, let alone this night. It's permanently tattooed in my mind.
I look down and catch her eye, she blushes and looks away.
"Hi." she says.
"Never." I say.
She scrunches up her eyebrows in confusion. "What?"
"Don't ever mark your body with tattoos. Your body doesn't need it. It's perfect.. it's enchanting, and it is its own work of art." I say while running my eyes down her porcelain legs and stomach. She starts to blush.
I knew in that moment why the stars are in the sky, and why the sun dies every night to let the moon breathe.
I suddenly knew why the word "soulmate" was created. Hers and mine are intertwined, they have always been. In that moment I knew I was never going to breathe the same, feel the same, and be the same without her. She is what completes me, and what keeps me grounded.
I love you, is what I want to say.
But I don't.
