Each child is born with a mark on their left hands. After birth, then they are issued a necklace that has a pendant of that mark. Then, there is someone out there. With a mark, exactly like theirs. These necklaces, when they come in close contact, will begin to warm up. It will be forever cold until you find the person with the same mark necklace.

And the person with the same mark is their soulmate. To love, despite flaws.
