After his regeneration, the Doctor continues to travel with Amy, Rory, and River Song. He is able to put sad memories and past companions behind him, focusing on his adventures, present and future.
But when the Doctor tries to seal up the cracks in time and space, they pull him into a parallel universe and into his past. In a place he had vowed never to return to, he sees someone he never expected to see again and hears the most remarkable story from this familiar old friend.
Will her story provide closure for long, unanswered questions? Or will it only reopen old wounds?

It's time for a holiday for the Doctor and his companions. With the guaranteed journey to the Egyptians, the TARDIS is unable to arrive for some strange reason. She is beginning to play up. Something is wrong. Instead, the TARDIS dumps the Doctor on a planet in it's final moments. A planet filled with dangerous flesh-eating beings - dominated by a more intelligent carnivorous species on the planet's last days, determined to escape to survival... Meanwhile, Amy and Rory are separated from the Doctor. With no idea where he has been left, more strange peculiarities occur with the reappearance of River Song. She is giving clues and hints to where the Ponds must track down the Doctor. Travelling for hundreds and thousands of miles, the hints are getting warmer and warmer. Fifth in the Remembrance Lost Series When the Remembrance walked willingly to her death at Lake Silencio, she left behind a family. Her mother and father in law, Amelia and Rory Williams, her wife and murderer, River Song, and her brother. The Doctor. And where she may have left me a task and access to her life's work, I do not believe that she intended for me to inherit her familial connections. Which means when the Daleks enlisted me as a telepath and telekinetic to assist them in destroying the Asylum, I was not happy that they were made aware of who exactly I was. The Remnant of Remembrance. My name is Ellody Croft, not Elizabeth Caine, the fact that I exist in the first place is testament to the fact that she is no longer a part of the universe. But try telling that to her brother. But there is only so much that I can add to the Archive by myself, trapped in only my small corner of the wide, expansive unknown, things that the Remembrance never found herself. Things that I could discover if I accepted the Doctor's offer to leave my clocktower home and move into the TARDIS, with direct access to the Archive and Matrix that I was uploading new pieces of research and mythology into already.
