Freedom. Is that too much to ask for? Apparently so.
That's what Ari thought. All her life she's been told she's nothing more than a dirty street rat. Good for nothing, and bad for everyone. She has a bit of a reputation, and some police records under her name.
She hates it, the street rat part, not her reputation, she's proud of that.
When an opportunity presents itself, it's all she could do not to take it. A competition that comes around once every ten years. A competition to decide who the next members of The Elite will be. A group of the most powerful Givens in the whole kingdom of Emberland chosen to lead in the war against Bovanta, Emberland's enemy. For Ari though this means freedom, and a clean slate.
But the competition is harder than she thought. The content more challenging, the opponents more aggressive.
Can she make it in the the game long enough to become an Elite? Or will she fail and lose her only chance at freedom? Will the competition cost her more than she can afford? Will she survive to find out?

There's a prophecy that everyone seems convinced that it's about her, a fight club that she accidentally signed up for, the dragon that lives in the arena, and the threat that terrifies the entire school. There's only one person who can stop the threat before it's too late - the subject of the prophecy. Unfortunately for Alyssa, no one knows how to stop the threat or what exactly it is. Despite the fact everyone seems to thing the savior is Alyssa, no one knows for sure, and one false attempt will destroy everything Aptitude Academy has ever known. (This story is mostly smut as I plan on my next release being more innocent and lacking in that area.
