Do you believe the government watches you through your phone, your TV? Do you believe the government manipulates society unbeknownst to them? Do you believe people fall off the face of the earth to become the next experiment? Do you believe those people gain extraordinary abilities but are kept for the government's gain? I am not your typical 16 year-old girl going around obsessing over boy bands and clothes, I can't obsess over those things on a daily when everyday I'm in fear that the government will take me in. I have superpowers. Not the superpowers like fake magic, real superpowers. Everyone would do absolutely anything to be me. But, I would trade my life with yours cause' I hate having this fear everyday. People fear me though. They're afraid that I'll hurt them, but would never hurt a soul. I believe that everyone is important in this world and can make a big difference unlike me. Telling somebody their a "nobody", "nothing" or "worthless" is something I would never do. I am different than anyone off the street. I have now been put in a spot that I have to fix by myself or the whole country could be in danger. No Superheroes Allowed
Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime has increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. The victims of these horrific acts are not taking that lightly. Why not make a team of heroes? A team that doesnt give a shit what the NSA or the Mayor has to say. 100 years into the future, biology has given way to a new humanoid race, the Supernaturals. However, survival for them isn't easy in a world where they are criminalized and oppressed. It's survival of the fittest, or rather, the smartest and most successful. And with a criminal underworld full of illegal Supernatural activity, things are bound to spiral out eventually.
