Broken Bonds

James Anthem, at the age of nine, saw his father's shadow silhouetted again the flames of the burning house. Scattered on the ground are the bodies of his dead siblings, their skin charred, leaving a horrid odor in the air, their recent screams still fresh in the air. His mother, witnessing her children's dead bodies, and burned from the flames, is unresponsive, locked into a coma that she will not wake up from. All this James takes in, and sees his father, whom he loved so much, turn away from them, and disappear. From that moment on, he knew he hated that man. Puppetmaster, he was called. And he swore he would kill him.
