Growing up is difficult. The body goes through changes. Hormones mess with you. Everyone gets bullied at one point by someone. For Zora, it was worse. Not only was she bullied at school, she was bullied at home, abused by her father. She was a disgrace in everyone's eyes. Constantly suffering, she needed something that would give her hope and make her feel good about herself. Though it caused her to be bullied even more, she didn't care. She would live her life out and proud as a woman, despite how everyone saw her as a man. Hope meant nothing to her until the day her father died, prompting her to move in with her mother and stepbrother in New York, away from her transphobic community in Georgia. But moving didn't mean everything would suddenly get better. Dealing with transphobic bullies and a stepbrother who doesn't understand who she is, Zora worried she'd always endure constant ridicule. But moving somewhere new could lead to better things, like an accepting mother, friends, and a boy who finds her to be the most beautiful girl alive. Change meant new things were going to come, and if the world wasn't going to change for her, she'd have to change it herself. They are the people who were affected by the drugs, poisons, radiation and more from the last war that destroyed everything. Those who were affected turned into cannibalistic, killing, brainless monsters that the Survivors are always killing to stay alive. Sin is the best of the camp she calls home. No one has ever seen anyone like her. Quiet, serious, secretive, smart. She is a killing machine that can never be stopped. She was always planning ways to kill a large number of the monsters at one time. She rarely takes things lightly, and most people knew not to mess with her, unless they had a death wish. The fighting is never going to end. The Wild will live on, along with all the monsters and all of its hidden secrets, but the City would soon fall, making the Wild overrun by more monsters and people. The killing and fighting will never be truly over. The Purge will always live on, or so they thought. - Originally published February-May 2016
