Book 1 In The Children Of Laquania Series

Years Before Christ, our world isn't what it was made out to be. The God we thought was our ultimate creator is merely a scientist who's invention of the 'Human' is dubbed an accident. Genesis Adam and Eve are born into an earth that wasn't fit for beings like them. Earth is inhabited by a race of giants who call themselves the Laquanians. Dinosaurs replace dogs, and the animals we consider normal today would come into existence many centuries later. Humans aren't meant to be a part of this world, and are quickly moved to the bottom of the hierarchy, destined to be bred as pets for the dominant Laquanian race. 

Colton was born in a breeding facility, only to be whisked away into the Pet Institute where he'd spend the next fourteen years of his life. Life as a human in a world of giants is tough, and when he's sent to a local pet shop for adoption, Colton doesn't expect a loving, caring owner. 

Axel was a pet once, but after escaping at a young age with the help of The Human Resistance, he's quick to find his place in the world. But haunted with the pain and regret of his past, he's clouded with memories that never fail to leave him. And when he comes across the famous Genesis Adam while searching the laboratory of Godpheus Mathews for new recruits, his problems are only doubled. 

But there's something deeper lurking beneath everything. Poison that threatens to destroy the Laquanian race surfaces, and the giants have no choice but to act before they're wiped out. Godpheus Mathews has tampered with the very building blocks of life, and a force greater than anything ever encountered is after him. 

Can the human race assume its rightful place as earth's sole inhabitants?

Her parents had gotten all laboratories dealing with cryogenics to be shut down without much Ado. Yet here she was searching for an illegal lab or doctor who would help her with surrogacy. The pregnancy and the surrogacy would have to be in utmost secrecy. Almost everybody knew her, she was famous for having accurately foretelling the falling of a small meteor that would burn a hole through Earth's moon. Only when the actual event occurred did people pay attention to her warnings. But now her predicament was different. She knew what would happen, but she wanted to alter it. She hoped against all odds knowing that it was futile. Seeing was tricky. If you saw something you know it would happen, but then what was the point of seeing if you couldn't do anything about it. So here she was, trying to change the outcome of what she saw. One day she sat down on a swing and rather moodily kept tossing the salted nuts from her bowl to various targets in sight. One such Target was her bookshelf. She had just tossed a nut at a rather large book when she noticed that it held an invitation. She pulled it out and turned out to be her cousin's wedding card. It had been a while since the event and they were still childless. A sudden thought Wave struck her as she pinged her cousin.

All credit goes to the producers of it, and I am not trying to steal any of their content from the game. About: Elias; a 16 year old boy is exploring an abandoned science lab with his friend when he comes across a time machine. He doesn't think it works, and steps inside. He is sucked into the future where the world has completely changed. He stepped out, revealing he was now in a new year: winter in 2038. Luckily, it was closed, and he went to find help. He came across Vincent, an android, who helps him explore the world in the future, and attempts to help Elias get back to 2022. However, there are obstacles. Some androids had developed a mind to kill each other. But Elias helps Vince survive, while Vince helps Elias travel back. Elias develops a close connection with Vince, and wants to stay with him in the future even though it is dangerous. He doesn't want to leave Vince in the world, but can't bring him back with him in the past since there are parts on Vince that aren't invented and will disintegrate. They need to figure something out, but what? Read on to find out... Notice: This story contains mentions of heavy violence, light gore, fear, suicide, and bugs. Before the fall of Earth humanity built a great colony ship, ten thousand of the colonist left Earth for a hundred year journey to Gillespie. They came from all over the Earth leaving a planet knowing they would never see another in their lifetime. The Ark is a rotating cylinder the size of a large island with its own train system. It's divided into three main sections, the city, the framlands, and the Lowers. The people are divided into three groups as well, Uppers, Middles and Lowers. Uppers are made of elite scientist, Astro-crops, bureaucrats they made up about 3% of the population. The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever. Falling in love is hard enough falling in love in space that the story.

Chip & Pin, Pandora (book 1 of 5) by MikeBacon70

Pandora Wallace, along with her twin Adam, is born into the iniquitous British society of 2035. This story follows the first 18 years of Pandora's blighted life. In 2015 the British government start micro-chipping babies, at birth, and then spend 14 years also chipping all of the adult population. In 2030 they abolish cash completely and all transactions have to be carried out via a human's on-board chip. This microchip is inserted into the heart wall of all acceptably healthy babies at the moment of their birth; the heart muscles powers the chip by recharging the battery. A second microdot 'PIN' is inserted at a random point in the baby's body. Should this 'PIN' become separated from the heart chip by any distance it causes the heart microchip to explode. The government is able to electronically disable or suspend the operation of anyone's chip at their whim, leaving the owner reliant upon the charity of others, or dead. Pandora is born with a minor gene defect which precludes her from being 'chipped'. Following a family crisis, at 14 years old, she is forced out on the streets to join the vast numbers of 'non-chips' who have to rely upon charity and slave labour to survive, not being allowed to work legally or earn money. Pandora finally goes to work for the underworld, determined to claw her way to the top and acquire an illegal microchip. She becomes a messenger at first and then her virginity is auctioned off by her boss. She becomes a high-class prostitute, a bodyguard and tangles with both a psychopathic killer and a government department determined to kill her and her boss. Books 2, 3, 4 & 5r continue to tell Pandora's story, together with that of the ill-conceived Chip & PIN system.
