There was no holding back Sienna's gasp. As much as she wanted him to ask, she never thought he actually would. As soon as words would form she said yes and moved forward to hug him.

My name is Sienna Caitlyn Powers and I'm writing all of this down to tell you a story, MY story.The story that changed my whole life, and will hopefully give you a different perspective on yours. This isn't a story about facing depression, or holding on to the will to survive, it's also not about falling in love (although that comes into play) but it will show you how one thing can change your life. A word escaped my lips one day, I'm still not sure what it was, but it changed my entire life. That day, it made my life out of the ordinary. That day pulled me out of reality and put me where I finally wanted to be. Or so I thought.

"C- Can you move b- back a little?" My words made him smirk and if it's even possible, he came closer. Why do I always have to stuck between him and the desk?! "Why? Am I making you nervous?" Some things you can't plan. Some people you can't forget. Sienna, with book-occupied hands and earphones always in, has never left Ashford Hollow - and doesn't plan to. She lives where she most wants to, journaling all her thoughts in shitty notebooks and serving espresso shots at the Hallow Café. Soft eyes, quiet soul, music in her bloodstream. She's not looking for love. Or drama. Or anything, really. Then Mateo walks in - A Spanish student with shy curls, geeky glasses, and bad playlists. He orders an oat milk latte and asks her for songs that feel like ache. She gives him Phoebe Bridgers. Mitski. A dog-eared copy of The Bell Jar. He keeps coming back - 7 a.m, every morning. As I stare at myself in the mirror, I don't even recognize the reflection. I'm a married woman, and I can't get over that. I'm only wearing red lace underwear at the moment. I wear sexy panties and bras now because I have someone who's seeing them every day other than myself. Does he wear special boxers...? I'm not ready to think about Silas that way yet.
