Generations have passed since The Great Flood. Civilization after civilization have fallen due to famine, civil war and poverty. All except for The Sectors.

The Sectors have survived because of one thing: The Architect.

Each year 7, 19 year olds are taken. They are called The Chosen and The Architect has a plan for them.

Denny McEvan is a female citizen part of Sector 7. She has a little sister, a single mother and she just turned 19.
