The world's population had been separated because of the Cost War, eliminating millions of people at a time and polluting the Earth's sky and land, supposedly, all of the world's population lives underground in concrete shelters, they are known as the Undergrowers. While a fifth was sent to a planet recently discovered in the Solar System: Scaunt, a distant relative to the planet Mars. And no one is sure if a single person had survived or not. There are tales of people called the Outviewers, they roam the land up above, living off of what little is left, but no one considers they are actually real. The Undergrowers have found useful methods to survive from below, like inventing a machine that copied the water cycle, producing water. Generators, creating reliable electricity, only for the use of the Undergrowers. And growing food in crop houses. Only, oxygen and space is limited.
Borealis Row, a headstrong Undergrower without a destiny. Ginger, an introvert Outviewer with no home. Cane, a demoralized Undergrower with no family. They all have one thing in common, a vital piece missing from each of their lives, and in search for that one piece could cause each of them to realize one thing: that what they had first thought would weaken them, produces the strength within the burning flame.
Until there is an immense earthquake that the Undergrowers believe is a bombing. Soldiers evacuate the residents causing Borealis and Cane discover a route onto the land above.

No one knows why or how they came onto the blue planet but that doesn't really matter anymore. One by one the humans started to disappear and were replaced by monsters until all that was left of them were their cities and knowledge. Legend has it that human survivors still exist and are living in the depths of a forest, right on the doorstep of the capital monster kingdom, Zyire. Protected and concealed by a magical border that burns monsters if they attempt to enter, the humans wait patiently for the right opportunity to strike and take back what once was theirs. 18 year-old human survivor Dawn lives within the borders of the forest, or as the humans call it, the Base. In the Base, the humans are separated into three groups; the Service, the Watchers and the Venturers. It is the Service's job to cook, what little food they have, and to heal the injured and sick. It is the Watcher's job to hide in the trees and scan the clearing, that lies before the forest's border, for monsters on the Venture days. It is the Venturers job to leave the forest borders on Venture days, and run into desolate cities to steal food, bedding and supplies that they need to survive. There is only one rule; never get caught. Venturer Dawn finds herself in a dangerous situation when she breaks the one rule. Dawn is caught by a monster, and not just any monster, but a monster who works as a Protector for their kind. Dawn soon learns that there are more to monsters than meets the eye. [COMPLETE & UNEDITED/UNREVISED] [WORD COUNT: 52,929 Most Impressive Rankings: #1 in Alien Romance #1 in Scifi-Adventure #3 in Fated-Mates Tati is one of the highly coveted and hunted hybrids of Wolfeen. There is a price on her head, and she was already sold to a breeding house once but she escaped. There are only two known hybrids on the planet of Wolfeen. But Tati didn't choose this. None of the hybrids did. She was abducted from Earth by an alien species known as the Ghoul who conduct inhumane experiments on humans in the name of the almighty dollar for a woman named Andrea Webb, former director of the agency K9 before her illegal trafficking of altered humans was revealed by K9 agents. Zeus is a Wolfeen tech agent working for unit 10 of the K9 agency. He and his team broke the case on hybrids when one of his fellow agents, Brock fell for one of the hybrids. Apparently much like the female Wolfreen, the human hybrids altered with Wolfeen DNA react exactly the same as born Wolfeen's. Only to a much more dangerous degree. When a hybrid meets their fated mate, they go into heat, and because they can't handle it, if they aren't mated quickly the heat can cause permanent damage to their brain function, internal organs, and even death. As if that threat isn't enough, Webb is still hunting the hybrids under K9 protection.

Snow

98 parts Complete

After an apocalyptic event that thrusts the world into a new ice age, Calestia - a 17-year-old girl with a strong will - must learn to survive on a land infested with gangs, guns, and distrust. ***** Nobody knows what day it is anymore. Nobody knows the month, the day of the week...and the only way to tell time is by the slight change in the color of the sky from grey to black every twenty-four hours. If a day even is twenty-four hours anymore. The planet is dead. The people are dead. Snow falls down upon piles of bodies like the ash of a volcanic eruption. Except, the snow doesn't stop. It never does. It continues to fall and fall until you wonder if it is even possible for another flake to come down and land silently in your hair. But it does. They do. There are few survivors of what the remaining have started to call the end of the world. The Apocalypse. Few who are still brave or scared of death enough to face the torture that is living. I am one of those survivors. Book One of the Snow Series Highest ranking: #3 in Sci-Fi Watty's Shortlisted
