Terminal velocity of a falling human is about 53 m/s or about 122mph. That's fast, right? It's nothing when compared to human thought. Though not an exact science, brain waves or human thought, have been estimated to be 120 m/s or over 270 mph. Plummeting to your death from a high bridge or a tall building may appear to be a quick death. But is it? What thoughts go through a person's had AFTER they've stepped off the ledge? What could they possibly think about in the few seconds it takes to reach the ground? Lucas never thought of that.
