There's a legend; a legend that one year  in the town of Waterfall Spring, it will be the Winter of the Rose. People will die.  All will come undone. It will be the end of life as people know it. This bothers no one. It is the year 2314, and the vampire hunter society has not seen a vampire in years. It's been so long that they are starting to doubt these monsters even exist. However, they're too afraid to venture out of the limits of their safe haven, their town, and stay behind a magical barrier, endlessly learning the trade of vampire hunting. But the Winter of the Rose does come.
    Summer is a lonely fourteen year old girl. Her family is gone, she has no friends.  Her days are spent at the vampire hunting academy, striving for people to like her. And then she meets Green: the new boy. A fast friendship is born, and something more, something Summer was never expecting. But, innocent love is not to be for the two. Mysterious deaths terrorize the town, and secrets emerge. Things Summer took for granted are no longer true.
