Two guys, best mates renting together in a Flat in London. One is a drug addict, who plays the violin, solves unsolvable police cases for fun, eats just about nothing and is seen by many as a robot with no emotions. The other who is a retired army doctor sent home from war after a bad injury, who dreads going to sleep at night, can't keep a girl and loves his tea. Both deeply in love with each other, to shy to tell, they bring the best out of each other behind closed doors, perfect together. Nothing could go wrong, ....right?

The voice came over the speakers. I was in a room made entirely of metal with a one way window covering one wall. I shifted on my paws and gave a low whine. "It's okay, John, take your time." Her voice was slightly strained. I barked, knowing that she was just trying to be courteous. I focused my attention on my regular form, closing my eyes and sitting on my haunches. I felt an electric current pass through my body and my eyes shot open. "Changed!" I hollered out, as if my voice would make the pain fade quicker. The metal felt cold on my bare body, "Evidently clothes don't come with the changing." I stayed laying down as I heard the cheers from the speakers. Nothing good, that's for sure, and they're gonna make it everyone's problem. × × × × × "String" is the leader of Hemlock - an underworld gangster organization growing in connections, where nobody uses their real names unless they're asking for their death warrant to be signed. However, unbeknownst to many (and ironically enough), someone else is pulling the strings from behind the scenes: a man codenamed "Paper" who is shrouded in the dark more often than not. And that darkness is what String wants to step into.
