Ember Skygem is a Hobbit. She wasn't the prettiest Hobbit (to herself that is. She had no idea what others thought), but she was quite talented. Ember took lessons from Elvish blacksmiths. She learned how to make weapons and jewlery. Her favorite things to make were rings; consequently, her collection was large. But a horrific memory keeps following her, so Ember goes to her adoptive Aunt's house every few months, who lives in Bree. Her Aunt helps her distract her from the memory when her adoptive parents are too busy to help her themselves. But when 4 hobbits walk into the bar of the inn, Ember is faced with a choice: find out what is so secretive about these hobbits and have the memory present in her mind, or stay with her Aunt to temporarily forget the stalking horror? ---------- The only character I know in Ember unless I say so otherwise. The rest I give full credit to J. R. R. Tolkien, the best author in the world. I will do my best to incorporate details from the book, but I will mostly be going off the movie because that is just easier. And for those of you who really care, this is a Frodo fanfic. They battle orcs, goblins, starvation, and cold on their journey from place to place in Middle Earth. They make a few new friends, along with plenty of new enemies along the way, as well as sparking a few hearts with infatuation. (Almost all of the characters do not belong to us, but to Tolkien, along with most of the plot.)

Samwise Gamgee and Rosie Cotton have been married for many years, have a strong bond with his best friend, Frodo Baggins. Suddenly, tragedy strikes the Shire, leaving Sam in a very depressive state for the rest of his life. Years later, the Shire is in silence, and Frodo's relationship with Sam begins to fail. He's engaged to a woman named Mirabella Sackville-Baggins, and she's planning to take over Bag End. Now Frodo is determined to bring back his dear friend and companion by finding out the truth and save the Shire.

This story takes place during The Lord Of The Rings but instead of a normal Legolas love story like I've seen a lot I chose one of the hobbits other than Frodo. This one is about Merry because I think the hobbits need some love too. But I do have a Legolas fanfiction that I'm working on
