Penelope never really felt the joy of childhood. But whenever she had the chance, she'd be caught reading a book or staring out a window daydreaming. They were caught stealing medication for Penelope because she has one black lung, meaning she's only depending on one lung for oxygen. She's always wanted to smell the fresh air, see animals and the trees on Earth, just like how Miss Kane described. That was until Penelope got locked up for electrocuting Commander Shumway (she was caught stealing medicine for herself when they caught her) and now she's been in lock up for about 1 year.
