Flash Fiction, challenges, fun short things, including this: This is my entry to @ScienceFiction's Challenge 8: The Duoabble. The goal of this challenge is to write a story about a teenager and an alien life form in EXACTLY 200 words. The scoop: Girl meets alien. Alien tells her that other aliens will attack Earth soon. Girl (kind of) tries to convince people. Alien is not impressed with her "save the world" skills. Earth gets sort of...forgotten about. Oops! Cover photo by Stephendotcarter. A collection of tales featuring monsters and angels, though not all appear as they truly are. Includes the story Strawberry Pickers ... There were monsters in cages on the lowest floor of the Genieworks building. Other monsters held the keys. Lina was grateful to have a job as one of the strawberry pickers, to see the sun from the sky roofs and to sometimes eat berries that were subpar. When the salary from one job was not enough, though, she had to take a second one-cleaning the laboratory in the lowest floor of Genieworks. This is a collection of short stories, flash fiction, and contest entries, but only for stories that are darkly beautiful. Enjoy! Highest ranking #81 on 6 and 7 May, 2015!

My short stories began to build up, so I thought I'd collect them all together here, and have a space for future shorts. A Kindred's Embrace: An ethereal look at a special winter's night, seen from the perspective of an unusual protagonist - in just 500 words! Written for the @AdventureCommunity's Micro Adventure contest and @su-SPEC-t's coinciding Contest Numero Dos contest. Mr Big Stuff: This was my contribution in the Decameron 2.0 anthology, which featured 110 Wattpad authors. Short stories for competitions

This is where I will be posting challenges, news, and other random things (just like the title says =P ) There are some flash fiction stories hidden in here, along with a game of "Ask my characters".

Short story collection. They gather in the dark: those who did not traverse to face their judgement when their mortal shells expired. It is within these darkest regions that the veil to the mortal realm is weakest. Sentinels stand at each of the seven gates, commanded by the gods to guard against the spirits that try to break out of Akasha. But there are some who manage. Many come seeking closure, demanding retribution for wrongs done onto them by their mortal brethren. No longer visible, they collate shadows, merging with the darkness to assume corporeal form that allows them to move among you, yet remain hidden; at least until it's too late to do anything more than beg for mercy. For darkness taints even the purest of souls.

The following is a transcript of an interview pulled directly from the database of an unknown organisation. It denotes a short conversation between an agent of the organisation and an unknown entity simply referred to as "Subject".

It's always "fun in the sun" when you're young. Even on those days when no friends are around, the youth in you, and your creativity, have a way of filling days with joy--and making every second count. But the carefree attitude, and the lifestyle that you so value in childhood, can have dire consequences. That is, if you're not observant of your surroundings. One has always been the loneliest number. Strength in numbers has always been a sensible truism. But innocence without the latter, may just be when you find yourself playing, for what will be your last time.
