This is a very personal story for the 13 reasons why contest. This is my biggest What if. It's not meant to be a sob story,but a story of hope and healing. Please be thoughtful as every word is true and actually happened to me.

Madison and Emily were the best of friends. However, after The Incident, their friendship shattered. Now, Emily is dead. And it's all Madison's fault.

Nellie regrets that she was not brave enough to date Levi in High School. But would life really be better could she turn back time? What other aspects of her life would the simple word yes have changed? And what if Destiny would find her a second time? This is a submission to TeenFiction's #13ReasonsWhyContest! This is to those who are left behind to wonder where it all went wrong, never knowing if they'll get answers to all of the questions they have and sometimes not wanting to. This is to those who wish they could've saved someone they loved.

I figured I'd give it a whirl tonight. Comment and let me know what you think. For the contest, the story must be less than 500 words, and must be a memory that you wish you could go back and change. A 'what if'. Disclaimer #2: DON'T READ ON UNTIL YOU READ THE SHORT STORY! SPOILER ALERT. I'm still alive and well, and he is long gone-out of my life. He did mess with my mentality quite a bit, but I have been living quite a few happy times. I've gotten accepted to an out of state university 2,000 miles away from home, and I'm proud to say I'm leaving the place where all of the bad memories are screaming around me!
