April 16, 2010. The day everything changed.
I was 27 years old when a rare illness called Transverse Myelitis attacked my spinal cord. In one day, I went from walking to being in bed. For 16 years.
This is not just a story about illness.
This is a story about nights when du'a was the only medicine I had. About days when getting up felt impossible. About learning what Sabr truly means when you have no strength left, and what Tawakkul truly means when the doctors have no answers.
Between hospital visits and heartfelt du'as, I learned to find light, purpose, and nearness to Allah in a journey I never chose - but learned to carry with faith.
If you are living with an illness, or you love someone who is - this book is for you.
You are not forgotten. Allah is with the patient ones, and every moment of your sabr is seen, counted, and never wasted.
I write to give hope, and for TM awareness. 🤲💙
