An original short story by...well...me! Ian's life is nothing spectacular. He's spent the majority of it as a simple stable boy, and the only thing that keeps him from dying of boredom is his best friend, Zaire. They're like brothers; inseparable. Zaire is the troublemaker who never seems to get caught, and Ian is...well, Ian is Ian. He's just along for the ride. Then one day the ride gets unexpectedly bumpy when the Governor's son shows up in Ian and Zaire's stable: and there's only one reason for Levi Caldwell to be sneaking through the stables. Desertion. What will happen when Levi runs off with one of his father's horses? Or when one of the boys is found holding a bloody knife over the body of his master? I'm aware this is a horrible blurb, but how do you write a good blurb for a short story without giving too much away? Anyway, read the story! It's a good one! I promise! And it's super short...like 4,550 ish words. It won't take up too much of your time!

Ever since he was a young boy, British school teacher Thomas Parrish looked up to his father, who had served in the British army as a dragoon , and had desired to follow his example and serve as well. Having already enlisted and moved up the ladder in the ranks to a captain, Thomas is currently serving in the colony of Massachusetts in Boston. Having distinguished himself in the 7 year war, he hoped to earn further merits and most importantly, his father's validation, but all of that went out the window once he witnessed the true colors of the redcoats. Undertaking the difficult resolve to defect to the rebellion with the assistance of the Sons of Liberty, Thomas finds his world turned upside down, but with the help of a female pirate and an aristocratic scion whose loyalties are with the revolution, he strives to become a critical component of General Washington's earliest spy network. Will his drive to redemption clear his slate?

Picture this: a world stuck in its old ways, clinging to the familiar. Now drop Martha Jefferson into that scene, someone who refuses to play by the script handed to her.. It's 1776, the air thick with revolution and expectation. Folks expect Martha to be well-mannered, obedient, seen, but not heard. She has other plans. Instead of shrinking back, Martha goes off-script entirely and transforms into an inventor nobody saw coming. Behind closed doors (and away from prying eyes), she builds something wild, a contraption everyone insists is impossible, and then proves them all wrong by launching it skyward. You see, curiosity doesn't wear a corset or keep quiet just because tradition says so. Still, every breakthrough brings its own storm clouds. With society eager to hush women like her and influential watchers keeping tabs on her every move, Martha finds herself at a crossroads: walk away from what she's built or wager everything for the sake of progress. So what does she do. She rallies a motley crew of fellow dreamers, people cut from different cloths, but sharing one restless spirit, and together they set out on an audacious journey. Their goal isn't just tinkering with science; it's about rewriting the rules designed to box them in.

Left alone, she lives in the woods with her pack, rarely turning into her human form. Until one day, a band of men with red coats and muskets saw her pack and opened fire. While trying to get her pack out of the bloodbath, she noticed the men stopped attacking her pack. A man in white and blue clothing was taking down the men that attacked her pack. **This book won't follow the real plot of the musical, just a bit at some parts** The female bartender passed a drink to the young woman. "So... Where are you coming from, miss?" The girl drank a little before questioning: "How did you know I wasn't american?" The other woman grabbed a bottle herself and smirked. "Just figured it out. Unfortunately, I've seen many people in my life. There are specific types of american women, and you clearly don't belong to any of them." "Interesting..." the younger mumbled. "So?" "...I'm from Caribbean" she said and then added "I'm Alexandra Hamilton." "Alexandra Hamilton...." The bartender whispered, like she had heard the name before, even though that wasn't true. "So, why the fuss to come all the way down here, Alexandra Hamilton?" Alexandra smiled at the way the older female spoke. "I want to join the revolution against the king" the light coming through her eyes was something more than evident. The bartender paused, not sure what to say, and them chuckled "A woman? In war? That would be 'the death of the new nation' ", she spitted, obviously quoting someone elses' words. "...What?" The bartender decided to drink a little from the bottle she was holding. "Women can't have such responsible positions. Didn't you know? We lack organised and coherent thought. If we mix up, we are becoming abettors to the death of the new nation" "... Why do you say that?" ... "I don't say that. They do." ................................................................................. Basically a hamilton genderbend au, but the only ones that are gender swapped are Alexander, Eliza and Angelica. I thought it'd be intriguing to see the story from a woman's perspective, as she would be in a tottaly men environment, the war and the congress, and I wondered how it'd turn out. *It might contain some lams. Might.*
