After falling in love, Amelia and Patrick discover the reason behind her unwanted engagement but Amelia finds herself in grave danger before she can make things right. Amelia's Story is about a village seeking the truth. It's what happens when one man's mistakes effects the entire community. Though the residents of Millersport never learn the complete truth, the readers of this story will know exactly what happened that frightful night of August 25, 1813.

This is a historically accurate story about the life of Thomas Mooreson, who is a Canadian Farmer who joins the British military after his family is murdered by the Americans for being loyalists. After the incident, Thomas flees to Upper Canada to escape the Americans. Eventually, he joins that British military, and he is brought into a war against the people that killed his family, and he realizes that he finally has a chance for revenge.

His life consists of balls and parties, though he neither dances nor makes merry. Blind from birth, he forks out a humble living by playing music to the happy participants. By chance he hears her sing and is captivated by her song, but try as he might, he cannot get her to reveal her identity, and with his sight taken from him, all he can do is listen to her voice, wondering all the while if she is truly human, or merely a figment of his imagination. Who is she really and what could her great secret be, causing her to hide from him and the rest of the city?
