During World War II, tensions are high for the Jewish community. This a tale of young Jewish man and young Nazi girl and they both discover the problems of the ever-present threat of discovery and death. This shows the very moving tale of two different people in the same roof with hidden agendas, the constant cruelties of living in Germany and the vivid memories that could haunt a person for life. This account offers a facinating commentary of a sensitive, spirited young woman and her fight to keep a young man alive.

1941, Africa, The Siege of Tobruk. It was a critical chapter in the North African Campaign during World War II. Fought between the Axis forces, led by General Erwin Rommel, and the Allied forces, mainly consisting of Australian, British, and Indian troops. The siege lasted for nearly eight months, from April 10, 1941, to November 27, 1941. Tobruk, a strategic deep water port town on the coast of Libya, became a focal point due to its importance in controlling supply routes and its proximity to Egypt and the Suez Canal. What follows is a re-telling of this historical event, based on historical events and equipment but with fictional characters. At this early stage in the war we do not get as much recorded information as we do later on, evident from that fact we have such works as "El Alamein to the River Sangro" by Field Marshal, The Viscount Montgomery once he took over command of the British 8th. People may be familiar with the film of Tobruk, of which I have drawn some inspiration from, in a way this is my attempt to make a novella in the style of an old war film. Hopefully reading part as history book and part war film. I do not imagine it will have much luck with anyone outside of the ww2 community, put to those who are interested in similar things, I hope they find it enjoyable. Thank you in advance to any who take the time to read. Photos taken from the Imperial War Museum website as this work is not for profit. i have linked their site for people who wish to see more.

It was a cold and chilly morning, he could see his breath in the air in a mist. As he walked down a crumbly ruined street he stopped for a quick breather and heard a faint but audible sound. The sound was a rock accidentally knocked over but by what he thought a person or is it the enemy or is it a.... !BANG! The sound of a rifle was audible all around the ruined neighborhood and the only sound that could be heard was the sound of a rifle being reloaded with a fresh new round. Mickhial was staring out his foxhole he had just killed another fascist and pulled out a pocketknife to carve a notch in the butt of the rifle. He didn't feel sick to the stomach over the life he had just took but he felt like, he had at target practice, peace and contentment. He looked up from his notch and noticed 2 figures moving in the distance toward his direction. More fascists. He quickly picked up his rifle aimed and just before he fired he froze something big was coming his way it had tracks.
