The Party's grown up, some are in college, others aren't. Will, Lucas, Dustin, Max, and El stayed together with their older friends in Robin, Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan. Mike's gone, no one knew it at the time, but when Mike said goodbye to Hawkins on his way to Cornell University. He hasn't looked back, he's scared to look back. He thinks that he owes it to them to live a normal life because, as children, he got off easiest; but deep down he knows that's just an excuse because he's too scared to face his past. Alice has a secret not even Mike knows: she almost died. Alice doesn't know anything about this; she doesn't know what put her in that coma, she doesn't know who locked her in that room, she doesn't know who she was, she doesn't know what her family may have been like, she doesn't even know her last name. Alice doesn't know when she was born, where she was born, or even who gave birth to her. When Alice drags Mike back to Hawkins for Nancy's housewarming party, all hell breaks loose. Hawkins has been fine since 1986. Nancy didn't think her new house would start problems. Mike wants to run again, he wants to save Alice. The stories and chaos intrigued Alice, she wants Mike to let her in.
