In the first quarter quell the tributes are not reaped but elected from their own districts. The 25th hunger games are held to resemble to power of the capitol and to manipulate the tributes in seeing not only the other tributes as enemy's but even their home district. These games are only slightly mentioned in the books. But i was curios and felt like they had an impact on the history of Panem. I did not find any other fanfiction about it so i made my own. I'm happy about any comments so i can envelope and stay motivated. I also don't have a strict plan, just write me about your ideas (like a certain tribute, the look of the arena or something else) and i can add it into the story :) English is not my mother language please correct me if you see any grammar mistakes.

Veronica Louis has reached 33, and mate less. Well she had a mate, but he died a year after she found him. Adam Darling is 25 and hasn't found his mate yet, although over 8 years of looking for her. When Adam is walking around the streets of Chicago with a friend, he smells the intoxicating scent that could only belong to his mate. As soon as his friend realises he's found his mate, he tells Adam. "Oh, I bet she'll be a beautiful young filly," and then laughed. Adam half agrees, he has a gut feeling that he shouldn't expect anything, or anyone. He starts to look for her. "Do you want me to come with you?" His friend asks. "No, this is something I've got to do on my own." Adam says, not turning around. "Ok, see you at home." "Ok." Adam replies. He crosses a road and ventures up an alleyway which had curved and smelt like rotting garbage. Until he found what he was looking for. A gorgeous women was standing, look around in what was obviously confusion as she smelt the air around her. It was her. As soon as she turned and showed me her whole body, I realised she was exactly what I was expecting, beautiful and mature. She looked horrified and like she wanted to cry. I just stood there confused. "I'm so sorry." She muttered brokenly before running away.
