She walked over to her dresser and looked up in the mirror and back down shuffling through her purse. As she was still shuffling, she glanced over to a white box that was covered in nice leather and a white lace. 'For Sarah' She read on the small square paper on the top connected to the lace with string. Sarah was a 17 year old girl who usually slept in too late and got to school late. She lived in a city in Washington. Seattle. Jake is a 18 year old boy who rather help his friends then him self. Zacharie is a 13 year old boy. He is the risk taker. Janelle is Sarah's little sister. She is 13 in a half and is the merchant. Cameron is jakes twin brother he is also 18 years old. He is the distraction. Jess is 17 and is the leader Together they fight for their homes and the people of Washington to save them all. Together they learn what friendship is. And there is lots of turns on the way.

Inspector Ben Kramer and Detective Daniel Fitzgerald must investigate a strange issue: none of the 2041 accidental deaths were really accidents, and none of the homicidal deaths were actually perpetuated by the convicted. I admit that mystery and detective story are two genres that I'm not used to write, but I hope I did a relatively good job at it. I had no prior experience in these styles; so the style is a bit inspired from Isaac Asimov's investigation stories. And the mystery's theme is inspired by a great thought-provoking idea from a Japanese anime show called Soul Eater. Daniel Fitzgerald is a character of my novel series The Shadow Paradigm; he's one of my top 5 favourite character to write, and I was glad to make an entire story with him all the time. He's just so fun to write. The events here are 4 years later after the events in the novel. I wanted to make the sci-fi elements feel natural. Many, including myself, write science-fiction elements as if its the first time the reader reads them, or meets that world. I decided to try rather to write the sci-fi elements as if they've always been there, that this futuristic world is actually as mundane as our own. I hope it works.
