Harry took him back after the whole deal with Voldemort coming back. Cedric was taken care of and was fine. For the first week of school for Harry's 5th year Cedric was at home convincing his parents to let him go back to school there and not to transfer him. His parents gave in but said he MUST date Cho and nobody else. His parents had been homophobic and found out that Cedric liked Harry so they said that Cedric must date Cho or they would disown him. Cho knows about this and says that he should tell Harry how he feels and if Harry feels the same way then they should secretly date. It's one month into the school year now.
