The year was 1964, and Rose was standing on her front porch in the evening, waiting for her husband to return from work. She didn't have to wait long to hear footsteps approaching her. Was there something that happened at work that he hadn't told her about?

After a long, exhausting adventure, after saving the Mushroom Kingdom and the world once again, Mario was about to relax at home, when something unexpected happened: for the first time, the princess - who is also one of his best friend - invited him to spend the day at the castle! It is an honour that cannot be refused. However, when he got to the castle, it was nothing like he expected. The castle was empty, the atmosphere was strange, as if a threatening aura was surrounding it, which made Mario uncomfortable. But on top of that, the princess was nowhere to be found. What happened in there? Mario did not know it yet, but it would be one of the craziest adventures he had ever been through. Author's note: -This is a fan adaptation. While the main story is kept the same, some parts of canon have been changed a little to make it more interesting. -I'm not from an English-speaking country, and my English skills are not 100% perfect. Therefore, you may find some errors in the narration - if so, please be indulgent and/or report it, and I'll do my best to improve the quality of the narration. Thanks in advance
