"why'd you volunteer?" He circles back. My eyes lock with his, "For her." Thea had never planned on participating in the 70th Hunger Games. After all, it was her last reaping; and if her one and only name in the drawing had been selected she knew her sister, Nike, was dying to prove herself in the arena and would volunteer in her place. Unlike Thea, Nike felt she had to live up to the infamous name of their father, who had won the games at just 12. What Thea didn't anticipate was the cruel abandonment of a girl who had no chance of surviving. Though she hated everything about the games and had planned on minding her own business, she volunteered for the girl catching the attention of her mentor, Finnick Odair.

Everyone knows of Finnick Odair, the heart throb of District 4. He is loved by everyone and no one can deny he is extremely handsome. He is perfectly attractive and that is only one of the reasons why I don't trust him. Ma always told me that the prettiest are the poorest and to stay away unless I want to be let down. But when Finnick came home after winning the Games and defying the odds, he was changed. He was no longer the perfect guy I was determined to stay away from but a scared boy with a facade that is eating everything good inside of him. But how can I piece a broken boy together when I am about to face the worst thing possible: The Hunger Games. Ps this is under editing and is not perfect at all, but I hope you enjoy none the less! We know about Katniss and Peeta's story and how they won the games. But what about the other Victors and their journey on become the Victors of the Hunger Games. This is Annie Cresta's Journey on becoming the winner of the 70th Hunger Games. I may think about doing another one in the future such as Finncik, Haymitch or I might even do a short story of Prim's ordeal throughout the Hunger Games. Depending on how well this one goes. This is all my own work apart from Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta and the base line for this story (the way she won the Hunger Games & how she became mad), that goes to Susan Collins. Please don't not use this and present it as your own. Thank you. I advise reading all three of the Hunger Games trilogy by Susan Collins, before starting this book because a few of the things that happen are explained in her books.
