The 76th Hunger Games has begun and the Capitol is preparing for the final battle to the death they shall ever see. Skylar Snow is forced to face her demons and learn more about her grandfather and his wicked ways before she is thrown into the large arena to fight to the death. Not everyone can be taken at face value, and no one can be trusted. But this year's tributes won't go down without a fight. Some information is changed: Gale, Katniss and Peeta are in the Capitol.

Diamond Rose is eighteen-years-old for the 76th Hunger Games making it her last chance to be able to become tribute. As being from District 1 she has been prepped for the day she stepped foot in that arena to battle to the death, but she never imgained her time to go in would be this complicated. Not only has she vowed to brutally kill both District 12 trbiutes for being from Katniss Everdeen's who killed her best friend Glimmer with the tracker jackers back in the 74th Games, she now also has to wonder why her fourteen-year-old brother Platinum volunteered as tribute right after she became one herself. The last two Hunger Games were so controversial, but now Diamond has to face what the Capitol has in store to make sure this one doesn't cause anymore trouble. NOTE: I have read all the Hunger Games books and know about everything in them. HOWEVER I am doing an "if the rebels plans during the 75th got found out/failed" thing so Katniss, Peeta, whoever is not a concern, it's just a regular Hunger Games... Or is it?

It is two years after the rebellion in Panem; and the capitol is finally regaining some peace and sense of what life should be. Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are happily married; Johanna Mason has become the military leader, and Annie Cresta is just getting used to life with baby Mason. At the new Panem Justice and Criminal Center, 40 famous capitol children are captive. Over 1,000 capitol officials are being held accountable for the murders of the first 75 Hunger Games. President Snow is dead, and so is Coin. In this room on the second level, Marcelline Snow, now 15, is with nine other children including Oscas Flickerman. Life seems to be going pretty ok; up until the summer the second year. Suddenly, her world is crumbling, and bring back the pieces isn't going to be a pleasant ride anymore.

After a radiation leak in District 13, civilians from around Panem experience strange events. It seems that, because of exposure to the radiation, citizens have acquired unique powers. Even The Capital has abilities. Ever since The Capital learned about their powers, they've set "barriers" around the districts to prevent a them from using their powers to their full potential. The Capital, feeling completely safe from the districts, still allows the Hunger Games to commence. Well, The Capital is in for a surprise.
