After a radiation leak in District 13, civilians from around Panem experience strange events. It seems that, because of exposure to the radiation, citizens have acquired unique powers. Even The Capital has abilities. Ever since The Capital learned about their powers, they've set "barriers" around the districts to prevent a them from using their powers to their full potential. The Capital, feeling completely safe from the districts, still allows the Hunger Games to commence. Well, The Capital is in for a surprise.

The Capitol and President Snow may have been defeated, but it didn't stay that way for long. President Snow's granddaughter, Jezebel, became in charge after her grandfather's death. Her parents didn't survive the uprising. She remade the twelve districts, leaving thirteen to their own devices. The districts are more poverty ridden than before. She made the Hunger Games again so one boy and one girl from each of the twelve districts between the ages of 12 and 18 were chosen to fight to the death, with one person standing at the end. Jark and his sister Stephanie are summonded to be in the 76th Hunger Games. He falls for Echo, a girl from another district who got a high score in training. But will she love him back? And only one can survive, so what will he do when his feelings for Echo grow even further? And if they both manage to be victors, doing the same stunt that Katniss and Peeta did in the 74th Hunger Games, how will they see each other again? And how will he get Stephanie to survive as well? NOTE: I have read all the Hunger Games books and know about everything in them. HOWEVER I am doing an "if the rebels plans during the 75th got found out/failed" thing so Katniss, Peeta, whoever is not a concern, it's just a regular Hunger Games... Or is it?

But what if Coin hadn't died? That's where this story picks up. The main character, Alyssum Quint, is a 16 year old Capitol girl whose mother was the woman Katniss shot with an arrow. The 76th Hunger Games have begun a little over twenty years after Katniss Everdeen led the Uprising. Without anyone knowing it a new force is weaseling their way into power, and changing the Hunger Games so that 6 young men and 6 young woman from the Capitol have to fight in The Hunger Games, but also one young adult from each of the districts. But Paylor has been fighting to keep things humane, adding new rules herself also. It is said to be the absolute last Hunger Games, but it seems an aftershock is coming for Panem and stir up the nation one last time, especially when Katniss Everdeen's daughter is reaped.
