Di tengah semua itu, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, dan Jisung adalah enam sahabat yang selalu bersama. Mereka dikenal sebagai kelompok yang paling berisik, paling sering membuat kekacauan, tapi juga paling solid satu sama lain. Namun ada satu hal yang tidak pernah diketahui siapa pun selain mereka. Jaemin. Jaemin selalu ada di sisi mereka-duduk di bangku yang selalu terasa "pasti ada orangnya", ikut tertawa saat mereka bercanda, ikut berlari saat mereka kabur dari guru, dan ikut pulang bersama mereka setiap hari. Bagi enam orang itu, Jaemin sama nyatanya seperti teman-teman lainnya. Tapi di seluruh sekolah, hanya mereka berenam yang bisa melihatnya. Guru tidak pernah memanggil nama Jaemin. Teman sekelas lain tidak pernah menoleh ke arahnya. Di absensi, namanya tidak pernah ada. Bahkan di foto kelas, Jaemin tidak pernah muncul, seolah dunia sengaja menghapus keberadaannya. Namun bagi Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, dan Jisung, Jaemin bukan sekadar "bayangan". Ia nyata, ia tertawa, ia marah, ia ikut hidup bersama mereka. Yang membuat semuanya semakin aneh... Jaemin tidak pernah tumbuh. Saat keenam sahabatnya perlahan berubah-tinggi badan bertambah, suara mulai berat, dan masa depan mulai mendekat-Jaemin tetap sama. Wajahnya tidak berubah sedikit pun, seolah waktu berhenti hanya untuk dirinya. Awalnya, mereka menganggap itu hal yang lucu. Candaan sehari-hari tentang "anak yang nggak pernah gede" yang selalu diikuti tawa Jaemin sendiri. Tapi semakin lama, dunia di luar mereka mulai terasa janggal. Hal-hal yang mereka alami ?

Di bawah langit yang sama, tujuh anak kecil pernah membuat janji sederhana-mereka akan tetap bersama, apa pun yang terjadi di masa depan. Di sebuah kota kecil yang dipenuhi hujan sore, suara tawa, dan mimpi-mimpi polos masa kanak-kanak, mereka tumbuh dengan cara yang berbeda. Ada yang harus kehilangan rumah, ada yang memendam luka keluarga, ada yang diam-diam takut ditinggalkan, dan ada yang terus tersenyum demi menutupi rasa lelahnya sendiri. Waktu berjalan begitu cepat. Persahabatan yang dulu terasa abadi perlahan berubah menjadi jarak, kesalahpahaman, dan rahasia yang tidak pernah terucap. Hingga akhirnya, kehidupan membawa mereka kembali dipertemukan di bawah langit yang sama-bukan lagi sebagai anak kecil yang tidak mengerti apa-apa, melainkan sebagai seseorang yang telah dipaksa tumbuh oleh keadaan. Di balik mimpi yang mereka simpan, ada air mata yang tidak terlihat. Di balik tawa mereka, ada luka yang tidak pernah benar-benar sembuh. Atau justru waktu akan memisahkan mereka untuk selamanya?
