Almost one year after the events of Season 1, things began to fade and return back to normal. Eleven was presumed dead along with Dr Brenner, the masterminds behind Hawkins Lab were forced to abandon their research and experiments, and the Demogorgan was defeated. All of those who were affected by the events tried to return to their normal lives. Some were easier than others. However, as Halloween approached Hawkins, it turns out that things may not be over just yet for the group. Honestly, I don't really know how to describe this story, so here's a short excerpt that I think sums it up quite nicely. ... I have no idea how long I was out of it, could have been less than a second, could have been ten minutes, but eventually, I managed to get my brain to focus. "So sorry, here," I bent down to help pick up the papers, which I couldn't help but notice were all sheet music. ...
