They had never exchanged a single word, yet they hated each other already. That night, in an interrogation room lit by harsh fluorescent lights, their eyes met for the first time. She entered with the sharp sound of heels clicking, her expression cold as a verdict. He straightened up against the table, arms crossed, an insolent smile tugging at the corner of his lips. - Attorney Swift. - Officer Kelce. Two names thrown like weapons.
