What if you met the wrong person at the exact right time? Mara lives inside her head, tangled in 'what if's and worst-case scenarios. Visiting friends in mid-90s downtown Detroit was supposed to be temporary. Loud nights, crowded clubs, borrowed cigarettes, and then back home before anything could change. Then she meets Rabbit outside a club, cigarette smoke curling between them, the city buzzing like it's alive. He's sharp-tongued, guarded, chasing something bigger than himself. She's anxious, observant, always one step ahead of her own fear. They shouldn't fit. Somehow, they do. As nights blur into music, weed smoke, house parties, and long walks through Detroit streets, Rabbit slowly pulls Mara out of her shell. She listens, he notices. They orbit each other in quiet moments and almosts, learning how to exist in the same space without rushing what scares them both. But time is unforgiving, Mara is leaving. Distance looms, and the question she's always asked herself grows louder. What if staying hurts less than never trying? NO SMUT!!!

Set in a time before he sold millions of albums, before he worked with notorious artists like 50 Cent and Dr Dre, Marshall Mathers lived in a trailer park home with his loyal girlfriend Harper. Harper was the girl who stayed up at night and waited for Marshall to return to their trailer park home. She was the girl that supported him. She was the girl that loved him truly with her whole heart. She was his rock, his everything, but at depressing times even love may not be able to survive.

Johnny Marshall starts out as a poor, white kid living in Detroit on the "white side" 8 Mile Road. After his first rap battle, things change and Johnny is one of the most well known rappers in the world. Jaden Wayne, another famous teen rapper, is not happy about this and becomes Johnny's biggest rival. Tensions rise, and Johnny's attention is pulled in multiple directions and learns what it is truly like to be famous.

Raven ClearWater is from Detroit well they weren't from Detroit they moved from Arizona to Detroit Her little Sister is named Blue I know weird names Raven's parents are alcoholics but what happens when she gets Hired for a movie called 8 Mile with Eminem in it and she plays B-Rabbits second Love Interest instead of Alex what will happen when Raven and Eminem meet? This was another short story piece I did for a university assignment; we had to analyze '8 Mile' written by Scott Silver and take any inspiration from this story - whether it be a character, a scene, a sentence - and create our own story to either expand on '8 Mile' with a version of the story from another character's perspective, or the same characters but in a different environment, etc. - you get the picture. We were given the structure of '8 Mile' and allowed essentially total freedom. I chose to write the story from a female point of view - analyzing how if Jimmy Smith was a woman, how would the circumstances have changed. What would a woman's story be if she were to be stuck within Jimmy's environment; how her choices would differ, how her life would be altered, how she would even think, with the impediment of her social status affecting all decisions. The choice of grammar and style of writing was fully intentional, I found it was an excellent way of allowing the reader to delve deeply into the character's mind - what she was thinking and how she was thinking; it also forces the reader directly into her life, seeing her world the way she does, feeling about it the way she does, becoming a ghost as easily as she does.
