I didn't write these poems to be beautiful.
I wrote them to survive.
Some were born in the middle of the night,
when my chest felt too tight to hold another thought.
Some were scribbled in the quiet,
when the silence grew too loud.
All of them came from the same place-
a need to get the weight out of me
before it crushed me completely.
They are messy at times.
Unforgiving.
Sharp in places, soft in others.
Like me.
I have carried these words for years,
through seasons of love and loss,
through moments when I thought I had healed
and moments when I realised I hadn't.
This collection is not about perfect poetry-
it's about truth.
It's about the things we carry
and the ways we try to set them down.
If you are reading this,
maybe you are carrying something heavy too.
I hope, as you turn these pages,
you find pieces of yourself here.
And I hope they remind you:
your heart can be heavy and still keep beating.
This is my ink,
spilled from a heavy heart,
for anyone brave enough
to read between the lines.
