This book is based on the starplus serial "Anupama" and revolves majorly around Anupama and Anuj kapadia. ***************** Excerpt 1 The arrogance dropped from Anuj's face in a flash as he furrowed his brows surprised, "What...I...nhi...." He stammered tugging at his glasses, while Anupama burst into a fit of chuckles at that. Anuj then smiled too and nodded, "Tumse kya chupana...tum aaj bahot bahot sundar lag rahi ho". Anupama blushed at the compliment but then schooled her features into a poker face. "Bas aaj hi sundar lag rahi hu?" ******************* Excerpt 2 HAAN!" Anuj shouted,angered, loosening his tie. He was ready to sock his jaw in! "Yaarana hai! Are you jealous?!" Vanraj looked incredulously at Anuj as Anuj smirked, "Hona bhi chahiye! I mean love marriage karne ke baad bhi, you and kavya can't find a common ground. You should be jealous! Classes lenge mujhse on how to keep a woman happy? You really need it!" "Tum apni hadd- "Shush!" Anuj interrupted Vanraj then, a smile starting to form. "You should be jealous. I mean, jis ex ko tumhari shakal dekhte hi sardard hota hai, wo mere sath khush rehti hai! And vese bhi you are very curious about us naa?" ********************** Sometimes we see certain scenes and cant help but imagine "what if it had been like that?". So here in this book are my take around certain scenarios.

Meri Anupamaa...", tears flushed his face blurring his vision. ~ Anuj Kapadiya, 19-yr old college boy of the 90s and the most eligible bachelor of the college, was deeply in love with his college classmate, Anupamaa, who he never dared talk and who he might never dare talk again as he saw her getting wedded to someone else. With his family there for his support, would he be able to get over it or how would circumstances change and situations frame? The story focused on the Muslim community and initially aimed to dispel stereotypes regarding Islam, and had been credited for pioneering Muslim oriented programming in Indian television. The first season of the show focused on the love story of Asad Ahmed Khan and Zoya Farooqui, played respectively and ended with their murder by Tanveer. The second season introduced Asad and Zoya's twin daughters, Sanam and Seher (both played by the same face because they are twins), and revolved around their lives 20 years after the death of their parents. Sanam's husband Aahil Raza Ibrahim. Rehaan Imraan Qureshi, Seher's love interest. The third season of the show portrayed Aahil and Sanam's incomplete love story. After losing her memory, Sanam is transported to Pakistan, where she falls in love with Shaad Aftab Khan. Aahil's second wife, the new Sanam. The season was completed by Aahil and Sanam's death. The fourth season of the show, was set 25 years after Sanam's suicide and focused on the love story of Sanam's reincarnation Mahira and her husband Azaad Iqbal Khan, who is revealed to be a vampire and the Sanam's son. When Azaad dies, Armaan Raza Sheikh, his long-lost younger brother, receives his heart in a transplant and falls in love with Mahira The show ended after Armaan and Mahira's marriage.

I am finally going to try posting what was typed out in my phone notes over the past 2 years or so since Anuj Kapadia came into our lives. Note: I loved the OG Anuj but have my issues and reservations with how Anuj turned out later and now I struggle to relate to him on many days though sometimes I understand him. Background about this rant - I was creating a character sketch of a feminist man for a writing assignment (i am passionate about writing/storytelling so was learning the craft) and came across Anuj just around the same time. It was so surprising that things I had written about my character sketch man much before I knew of the show matched with how Anuj played out on screen and I was thrilled that after ages there is a male character on ITV that aligned with my ideals. Then it became a game. I sometimes picked up from Anuj Kapadia on screen for my writeup & other times found that he almost behaved like I had already written. It warmed my heart and I enjoyed this writing game. I cheered the character with all his flaws because there was a certain earnestness. In the last year or so while I connected to Anupamaa's journey (not that she does not frustrate me), my resonance with Anuj reduced. The show destroyed his core essence & what he stood for in my view. Its not his emotional breakdowns or vulnerability. I love his raw emotions, but he did loose what he once stood for in my heart and mind. Nevertheless, I continued writing this rant to authentically express my feelings. I am now ready to share a piece of my heart here. Note: This is a rant and not a story. The work is kind of a mix between my ideal man and how Anuj played into it and then it just became a means to articulate my feelings about both. I had written rough thoughts about small things I missed in MaAn's journey in the notes app on my phone, mostly to express my ideas and feelings about them and what their story made me feel. It always felt like there was so much more their characters wanted to say but alas. But whatever they said was enough to make me visualize beyond.
