Undeniably kind, he is the first to calmly assess a difficult situation and diffuse it, bringing the Gladers together as the glue. But if the situation arises, he's no stranger to violence if it threatens the safety of his closest friends. What happens when these two broken souls inevitably collide? When they help each other to pick up the shards, and become whole again? This is the tale of two teenagers fighting together against the world, and just happen to form a beautiful bond in the process. Obviously, anyone familiar with the Maze Runner series knows of A5 or Newt. They also know of Thomas, WICKED, The Glade, The Maze, and so on. But what happened before Thomas came up in the Box? Or in this case what could have happened? So, instead of Thomas coming up its Newt. The morning of the Box's annual monthly delivery of a boy. And a gardener, with ginger curls and emerald eyes, is set the task of showing the Greenie around. In time the Greenie becomes a Runner. But both the Gardener and the Greenie face dark thoughts.
