From the moment their parents died, Abolish sacrificed his childhood for Birdie. Again and again, he would offer his hand to her so long as she'd take his bloodied palm. The last living Veylockes didn't expect to find themselves trapped in rundown Oakhurst with deadly creatures killing townsfolk, but their survival now depends on the outcome of everyone. Because Birdie won't let Abolish die, no matter what she must become. And Abolish is willing to die for Birdie, after he kills everyone in their path. When who they are and who they need to be to survive are two very different people, the siblings begin to hide the things they've done to protect each other. OR v!Abolish's little sister joins him in Oakhurst (canon and noncanon events from OC's POV) Note: Birdie is not a reliable narrator. Do not trust her. At times, she will not make sense. She is an isolated teenager thrust into a world of vampiric massacres. None of that makes sense. No OC/character shipping!

Pearl and Avid get trapped in a time loop of the weeks they spent trapped in Oakhurst and can't seem to escape the town. With pranks, betrayals and vampires it seems these two need to get smart. Or Pearl and Avid experience the horrors so they give Abolish a gun! What could go wrong!

Owen is given a choice: take the cure and become human again, or die with the gift Louis gave him. He chooses death rather than abandon it. Believing vampires are beings of pure evil-too tainted for any true God to welcome into the everlasting kingdom-Owen accepts that he will be damned forever. But instead of eternal punishment, he awakens in the space between true eternal life and eternal damnation... where Louis is waiting. Louis, burdened with guilt for giving Owen the curse of vampirism and for the pain and rage it caused, has waited for him in the in-between to make things right. To give him another chance. And though Owen refuses to leave his side, he is forced back to earth by the man he loves. Waking beneath the ground where he died, Owen rises once more-given another chance at life, but torn away from the one he died to stay with.
