~COMPLETE~ "You were supposed to be a side effect of the drugs." "I'm not a hallucination." "You are a pipe dream." A/N: After two weeks of unhealthy obsession, I've decided to write a fanfic for the first time in my life. This is The King's Men by Nora Sakavic (third installment of the All For the Game trilogy) but from Andrew's point of view instead of Neil's. I'm using the novel and Nora's extra tumblr content to try and be as realistic as possible. Can't guarantee I won't stray a bit, though. I've also taken a couple cues from naj10ajm03 on Archive. Obviously, if you haven't read all three of the books, this won't make any sense. But I hope you like it! All rights to the characters and stuff go to Nora Sakavic.

Andrew knew pain all too well. His little injury wasn't anything he couldn't overcome, the people treating him, on the other hand, he wasn't so sure. His entire adult life was made of clear boundaries carved in stone, anyone daring to cross them will get punched in the face without a second thought. One evening he ends up in a hospital, there are hands all over him, people tell him to calm down, that they want to help, that they mean no harm. None of their voices matter, all that matters is their hands, touching. But then a rude, bossy man comes- either a doctor or a nurse, and shoos everyone away, he puts his foot down and gives a hard time to anyone trying to argue without batting an eye. Andrew couldn't figure him out, he was a mystery he couldn't solve, and it made him more then a little bit uncomfortable. It was irritating. Andrew was always two steps ahead, he could always read people, know their intentions before they spoke. He swore to himself that he was going to solve the man. He wasn't expecting him to do the same.

"I didn't plan on leaving," his voice was raspy because of how little he used it. Pointedly, he stared at the tanned hand still grasping his own, it was scarred, as Andrew noticed. "I felt more like you were about to punch me," Andrew felt a funny feeling tingle down his back when he heard the honeylike voice for the first time. Or, as I told a friend of mine: 2.5k words of Andrew being in love with just the slightest touch of angst.

aspen henderson has played exy ever since she could walk, and was always the best on her teams. the girl lived and breathed the sport, her mother being her biggest role model. aspen's mother played for the trojans in college and right after went pro and even made it to the olympics, her team taking home silver. aspen's father however has always seen the sport as a waste of time. he was constantly worried his wife or daughter would get hurt playing. when aspen was 15 her mother was killed in an accident on her way to a game, her father of course blamed the sport for her mother's death, forbidding aspen from ever touching a stick again. he even went as far as breaking apsen's arm in the middle of her junior year season. she feared she would never get signed for a college team or even possibly never play again. she played in her team's last game of the season of her senior year but was nowhere near her best, the team won but no thanks to her. she watched as her friends were approached by college coaches and handed business cards. aspen just wanted to come home, until a tall man stopped her, and next to him was a small boy with ginger hair and a bright orange hoodie with the words: palmetto state foxes.

All for the Game characters in Voltron Legendary Defenders because I thought that Nicky acted a little to much like Lance for their not to be a connection. The plot mostly belongs to Dreamworks Animation and the characters belong to Nora Sakavic. If you only know one of these fandom then I suggest checking out the other as well. If you know both, yay! If you know neither I'm not sure why you're reading this but I won't judge. Hopefully the characters won't be too ooc.
