Richard Faulkner, Jr. and Madeline "Dei" Mendez have been best friends since college, with a hint of something more in between. Theirs is a romance that never quite made it, and decided the friendship was too precious, and dedication to their craft should be their first priority. Both budding writers, they survived college supporting each other through thick and thin, content with the no label closeness they shared. Until Richard gets his big break of getting his book chosen for a movie, with Dei's superstar sister Kathryn starring in it. All of a sudden, Richard is dazzled by Kathryn's incandescent beauty and grace, and Dei is the proverbial third wheel. Seen by fans as the bitch sister, she gets the ire of fans for being Richard's confidante and best friend. Yet despite Richard's attraction for Kathryn, he still keeps coming back to her. Should she give in to her feelings this time? Or must she give way to fandom pressure and be "The Good Sister?"

What is love? I mean...why do people fall in love? Sometimes it seems like it just messes up people's lives. I think it's stupid, all the girls I see who obsess over their boyfriends and then fall apart when they break up. I all seems so pointless. I've decided I'm not going to even date until college. All the boys at school are pretty much idiots, and I don't go with going out with someone just because they're cute. There's so many better things to do, and it seems like two people fall in love, they completely forget about those things. Then again, maybe that's because it's infatuation and not love? Ate says you know its the right kind of love when you feel like the one you're with makes you a better person (and vice versa) I wonder if i'll know it when I see it or if I'll be just as stupid about as all the other girls in the world?
