Leif was quirky. There was no other word to describe her. She had blue hair, crazy colored eyes, and strange clothes. She could quote Shakespeare and Dr. Seuss alike, and she always seemed to be in a daydream. No one talked to her, no one even got near her. No one knew where she was from, no one knew her past. She just appeared one day. Everyone just thought of her as weird, as messed up. But apparently I wasn't everyone. I thought she was intriguing. Maybe it was her eyes or her hair that made her image permanently burned into my head. Maybe it was her mysterious ways, or the kind look that came from her eyes. Or maybe I was just going crazy. I don't know. But she was different. She was one of those people who would change your life forever. She changed mine.

The unknown story about how I lost my best friend. My grandpa was a kind man. He loved science, flowers, and birds. But when he was diagnosed with ALS I was still in elementary school. I didn't know he was going to die, I thought he would get better. I wasn't aware that he was dying until he did. A story of friendship, happiness, sorrow, and pain.

Allison is one half of the Vine and YouTube duo known as The MACK Girls. When Claire and Allison are asked to join a summer long tour for Magcon, they jump at the opportunity. Arriving a couple days early, the girls decide to attend a meet and greet to see how the boys really act. When Matthew and Allison first meet, Matthew seems self-centered and rude. Being forced to room together for the length of the tour, Allison is determined to figure out who the real Matthew Espinosa is. Is he the sweet and funny boy that she dreamed about dating, or is he truly the self-centered, overconfident guy he was at the first meet and greet?

Everything was looking up for Louis. About to start his second tour, the future was bright. The universe had other plans.

His father died from it, his great grandmother died from it and he was hoping and praying it would skip a generation but that is never how it goes. Marcus is twenty one years old, and he has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS. Being the last of his family to carry on the family name, he desperately wants a child so he turns to his best friend, and coworker, Katalina. At first, Katalina is reluctant, afraid of having a child at 19 and the horrible fear of the child developing ALS just like Marcus. But after a while, she accepts to carry his child; She just has no idea what she is getting herself into.

I originally described this as a story about my personal experience of seeing my dad go through and die from ALS, but I have since realized that it goes way beyond just that. I need a place to post my thoughts and reflections, so I guess this will be that place for now :)
