Being a group of therian friends with all different personalities isn't exactly easy. In fact, being known as the strange group of feral kids that meander around the side streets of the city in the dark isn't much easier.
Because at night, empty houses, forgotten playgrounds, rooftops where no one's watching - it suddenly belongs to them. They're suddenly free to be themselves in the comfort of the dark where only the moths hovering under the streetlights can watch them do quadrobics in the forgotten areas tucked away in the city.
Because the city doesn't make room for kids like them. Some stare. Some mock. Some shout at what they don't understand. So they learn when to disappear, when to run, where the dark will let them stay and express theirselves until dawn...
Now this wouldn't be hard if it was just Tova; she can navigate the alleyways no problem. It's her friends that she wished would learn to hush their voices when walking past houses or stomp on cans when they cross the streets, because sooner or later, trouble will come creeping...
