"He's going to die, okay?!" My bottom lip quivered, a telltale sign that I was already crying. Rory took another step away from me, this time like he had been struck by lightening and thrown into the throngs of a hurricane. "He's going to die and there's nothing I can do to stop it. I don't know when. I don't know why. And I don't know how, but it's going to happen and there's nothing that can be done." He gulped, a heaviness taking over his expression, but just as quickly as the expression showed, it was gone. A fierce look of determination crossed his face. "You may have given up already," He said with an accusing tone and finger pointed at me. "But I sure as hell haven't." But was I giving up too easily? Knowing that Aspen was going to die was one thing, but knowing how would be ten times more beneficial to the situation. But I didn't, and neither did Rory, so what were we left to do? We couldn't tell Aspen and we sure as hell couldn't stop him from doing every little thing if it meant he could die. If we stopped him from living his life so he wouldn't die, it wasn't exactly a life worth living anyway. * Raven has been able to see and communicate with the dead for as long as she can remember. But that's not all. She can also tell when someone is about to die. So when new boy Aspen comes to town, she finds him nothing short of annoying. He's way too persistent in trying to befriend her when all she wants is for him to stay away, not just because he's annoying, but because he has a black ring around his neck that no one but her can see, and she knows exactly what it means. Aspen is going to die and there is nothing she can do to stop it.

Reading The Selection, I felt that Kriss needed her own story told. She had so much to say. She was calm, kind, and regal. As Kiera Cass stated, Maxon would have married Kriss if the massacre didn't happen. Many readers didn't like her, but she is a human and makes mistakes just like anybody else would. This is the Selection from Kriss's perspective and how she dealt with heartbreak and eventually finds her happily ever after.

Aspen Stella and Grayson Curae have never met before. Until one day the stars align and Aspen asks out Gray - but he rejects her.

Alternate ending for the book "the one" from the selection series. I'm not changing the final outcome, because it wouldn't line up with the sequels, but changing how certain things progressed. It starts at the point where Maxon sends away Aspen after Maxon saw America and Aspen together. I do not own the characters.

Yup. I did dedicate an entire book to Aspen And I will give each one a definitely 'creative' name. Yes, I have mental problems.

Poverty kills me. I never payed much attention to the little things...slightly more food on the table then I want, slightly more toys than I know what to do with, little trips to the market each and every time I wanted new things to have. I don't have that anymore. I try to sleep at night, not knowing how I am supposed eat the next day, where I'm going to get my next meal. Panda, she loves life. So full of energy. So vibrant. I am fearful of her future, when she realizes what life is.
