I was thinking about Valka could leave with Hiccup, but it wouldn't be the same so Hiccup and Valka will meet, but they will meet when Hiccup is 15 and not 20. It does have some spoilers because, in this story, Hiccup and toothless are friends ever since they were both 11 months old(they were also born/hatched on the same day). Give it a chance and it will maybe turn out to be great. It's my first how to train your dragon story/fanfic so don't expect me to do great.
