She's met with uncertainty and guardedness from the very people she used to support by providing basic survival supplies. She asks the Factionless for their help and they oblige out of sympathy once she recounts the trauma she went through. Evelyn sees it as the only way to reconnect with her long-lost son, wishing he would join the boiling revolution among the Factionless. Except that obviously, things don't always go to plan.
