This piece was inspired by a line from one of my favourite poets: "God said to Abraham, 'Kill me a son!'" Abraham and Isaac. Apparently Isaac was approximately 37 years old when Abraham took him to be sacrificed. That makes Abraham 137 at the time. Ishmael, Isaac's half-brother was slightly older. Some traditions have it that Ishmael was in the party that set out on this trek.

This story takes an interesting look at the what the life of Abraham's son, Isaac, might have looked like after Abraham nearly sacrificed him to God in obedience to God. That is, if Isaac had access to a psychiatrist like most people who've had troubles with their fathers have in the modern age. It's definitely a different perspective than the Biblical one.
