Louise lost her dad in the blink of an eye. One day he was sitting on the cold, metal hospital examination table and the next thing she knew, he was surrounded by his entire family, five kids and a loving wife, a tube shoved down his throat and a machine working his lungs for him. He didn't make it through the night. It was the first night of summer.
Travis found his mom unconscious on the bathroom floor, a needle in her arm, emptiness in her eyes. His shaky fingers couldn't even type 9-1-1 correctly. He held back his little sister, who at the time was finishing her times table homework, and covered her eyes as their mother was injected with medicine, revived, revived again, and died. By the time the paramedics left with his mother's body, Travis' hand was soaked wet with the salty tears of his baby sister.
Two different people. Two different lives. One heart-wrenching tale of the teens from the cemetery, and their journey to find peace, closure, and themselves.
